Pilum and 3nine entering into partnership agreement
Pilum AB and 3nine AB have entered into a partnership agreement for innovative air cleaning. Pilum has been awarded an exclusive agreement, offering 3nine’s unique air cleaning product to the energy market in the Nordic region. This product is based on separator technology and is both patented and trademark-protected.

This product, which is known as “Olga”, will form part of Pilum’s unique solutions for smaller plants in the range 0.5-10 MW boiler(?) output (this is what I meant, anyway). This partnership will allow Pilum to offer efficient solutions which replace traditional flue gas cleaning systems. Solutions without condensing will also be on offer.

Pilum as been working together with 3nine for a while now and has supplied systems and tested the overall technology, which has appeared to work with no problems. Market canvassing is taking place, and there are a number of outstanding tenders for the product. These products will be offered as part of a modular system, with simple installation and fast, efficient connection.
The market in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region is huge thanks to both current and future environmental demands in respect of smaller incineration plants and boilers, and is thought to include some 500-600 plants in Sweden alone.

“Being able to offer our combined expertise to the energy market as part of a ‘one-stop shop’ is very exciting. We have every faith in this combination. We believe it will be successful and revolutionise the technology for cleaning for smaller plants,” says Jan Törner, CEO of Pilum AB.

“As far as 3nine is concerned, this means we now have a talented partner that is used to supplying plants to the power and heating industry, and 3nine can concentrate on developing other applications and promoting international expansion for these,” says Torbjörn Nordström, CEO of 3nine AB.

3nine AB is owned by Sagri Development and SEB Venture Capital, as well as by staff.
The development team at 3nine has developed a product and systems for the cleaning of flue gases from heating plants and power plants that burn biofuels. The purification is based on centrifugal separation – technology that has enormous advantages with respect to maintenance and performance compared to existing solutions. 3nine’s systems can cope continuously with large quantities of pollutants without requiring complex and expensive filter exchange or filter cleaning, while the degree of purification satisfies the evermore stringent requirements that are gradually being introduced.

The centrifugal separation technology means that an flue gas cleaning system from 3nine is very compact – so compact, in fact, that it can be constructed off-site and transported to the location ready to be installed and simply connected. The ability to deal with a wide range of quantity of contaminants means that the cleaning of flue gases can in many cases take place in a single stage, with requiring, for example, preceding cyclone purification.
