Cleaner air, less maintenance – and a solution that just works. That’s why RZ Zampart chooses 3nine in its drive for sustainable production.
RZ Zampart, based in Karlstad, is part of the RZ Group – a network of 17 companies located across central Sweden. The company has grown rapidly in recent years and is now an important supplier to industries such as defense and automotive.
With around 60 CNC machines in operation, 210 employees, and three-shift production running around the clock, every part of the process needs to deliver. At the same time, sustainability and the work environment are key priorities. RZ Zampart is ISO 14001 certified, a signatory to the UN Global Compact, and has clear goals for energy efficiency and environmental impact. Air quality in the workshop is an essential part of that commitment.

The challenge: Oil mist affecting both people and machines
In a high-intensity machining environment with extensive use of coolant, oil mist is inevitable. It affects air quality, settles on surfaces, and leads to health risks and increased cleaning needs.
Even with traditional filter cabinets, the mist would linger in the workshop – especially when machine doors were opened.
The solution: A technology that separates instead of collects
Instead of collecting oil mist in filters, 3nine units separate the liquid particles from the air. Using patented disc stack separation technology — a proven method originally developed for milk separation — the units remove 99.9% of all particles down to 1 μm.
The result is clean air that can be returned directly into the workshop – and the ability to reuse the separated coolant. Thanks to 3nine’s patented CIP (Clean In Place) technology, the rotor is cleaned automatically, ensuring consistent performance with minimal maintenance.
We might replace the filter once a year – if that. The machines just keep going,

The result: A cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable workshop
Today, around 15 of Zampart’s machines are equipped with 3nine units – and more are being installed continuously. The goal is to equip all new machines with a 3nine unit and gradually replace older systems as they are phased out.
